It Lee's birthday, I won't say how old he is... but he's old!

1. He was in a christian rock band, The God Squad and a punk band, Juxtapose.
2. He plays guitar, piano and the crowbar.

3. He makes a fine looking woman. (Diana Ross was never more beautiful)

4. He has gambled in Monte Carlo, Monaco and Jackpot, NV.

5. He has a soft spot for birds....Yolev, Jamala Joe, and Benzali.

6. He does a great imitation of Bryan Ferry doing Bob Dylan. (that's not easy, you try it!)
7. He still has dinner with his parents every Friday night.

8. He wears the hat of authority well.

9. He is a world traveler.
10. He will always be older than me!

The National

My favorite discovery of 2009 was The National. (thank you Pandora Internet Radio) I listened to them nonstop and then some. Tonight they are on Jimmy Fallon!! (set those DVRs!)

These guys should be huge, and they will be one day... just wait. In the meantime, give them a listen.

Spring day

Color is starting to appear again in the foothills. Spring is in the air.

Today was 58 and the sun was glorious.

The skies are dramatic.

The clouds are expressive.

There's still snow on the hills.

And the cats say.... "More sun please!"
